I wish they made laundry baskets big enough for adults - so we could fill them with fresh warm laundry from the dryer and burry ourselves right in the middle of the warm good smelling clothes. As a person I think its so important to have a safe place to go, a special place where you can "let your hair down" and be vulnerable and completely taken care of. For some this is in the middle of a frozen lake, up on a mountain, smack dab in the middle of their cozy bed or in their prayer chair. Sometimes for me - I close my eyes and imagine that I am curled up in God's palm, or on his lap as he sits on his throne - and its in those moments that I don't have a care in the world, I am just surrounded by the warmth and love of Jesus. The funny thing God makes this is available to me all the time - but I don't go there nearly as frequently as I want to. So to all my amazing friends and family - I encourage you to take some time today (whatever you can afford) to go and hide away and be blessed as you rest knowing God has got you in the palm of his hand.

What a wonderful reminder Bek, thanks. It's so true that we don't visit with God nearly as much as we should. It's so easy to get 'caught' up with life's distractions instead of getting 'caught' up with our Jesus.

i loved this post Bek. not to mention how adorable sam looks. i love the picture you created of resting in God's arms as a huge warm fuzzy laundry basket. you are always great at making cool analogies. hey i was looking through my capes scrapbook last night to show my cousin who is thinking of going there. great memories! a cabin reunion would be fun one of these days!
