Snow storm...
Well - day 9 here in the Stollery. Things are going well for Jesse. I am sure that he is doing so well because he is on a million church prayer chains and I just know that God has given a very special angel charge over our little peanut with his head full of hair. He has been diagnosed with whooping cough and RSV. Our pediatrician said that Jesse is the healthiest baby she has ever seen with both diseases at once. He has been without oxygen for the last 12 hrs, with the occasional desaturation but he eventually does eventually come back up on his own. He mainly struggles with keeping his oxygen levels up when he is sleeping and crying. We just got bombarded with heaps of snow over the night and this morning, so they aren't recommending travel. So after discussion this morning, the pediatrician and I thought we should hang out here for one more day just to play it safe, with a good chance for going home tomorrow morning! Yipee! Sam is having so much fun with his Nana, they play lots, and Nana is getting her workout from Sam wanting the "little ladies go pitter patter" on the leg game. I miss the little guy so much. I guess he just started standing on his toes the other day. Its hard missing those things. She is so good with him. I don't worry about his care at all when she is looking after him. She has been such a blessing to us during this time.
I want to thank each of you for all your prayers and support - please continue to pray for our families speedy recovery, Jesse's full healing (lungs), and that our transition back to home goes smooth. I want to praise God for the mildness of his case, the great facility here, the great nurses and doctors I've had, and my family and friends that have gathered around to support us. God is so good - I am so glad he is watching over us with his love and compassion.

So glad that things are healing and that Jesse (and all the fam) are doing well. Sending prayers to get you home safely and soon, and for a quick recovery.
