Teething....

Ade took this pic a couple of weeks ago. This is Sam's night blankie - and it smells so irresistably yummy like him! He is starting to really like to cuddle - which is a good thing. Last sunday when I picked him up from the nursery he hadn't slept for a couple hours and he fell asleep on my shoulder! This is the first time he has ever done this people! From birth he has always went into his crib awake, and fallen asleep on his own (a good thing!) but the thing is he didn't really like to cuddle when he was tired. Ade always tells me, just keep cuddlin, kissin and huggin him, and he will start to like to cuddle - and alas he has! Rejoice! We got some pics done at Walmart a couple of weeks ago - and I really don't like them that much. I prefer the candid ones. Ade has such a talent for seeing great shots and angles, and he knows all the functions on our digital camera. I just put it on manual and go to town.
Sam's first tooth is surfacing, an eye tooth first believe it or not! He has the cutiest little red cheeks ever, and even though he is teething he is still so very pleasant. He loves to chomp on my fingers and his foam B. He just keeps getting more adorable with each passing day.
Today we went swimming for family day with Mark, Pauline and Hannah. It was a very family day thing to do. This was Sam's first time in the pool. Mark and Pauline have become great friends of ours. Ade car pools with Mark, and Pauline and I hang out and do mommy stuff. She is a great encouragement to me. Hannah is about 17 months old, so its nice to have someone to ask questions, because I know it hasn't been that long since she has gone through it all.
We are busy thinking about all the components of finishing our basement. What a task this will be! Ade and I are excited to do the project together, and looking forward to lots of learning. We would like to get it done in the next couple of months. We will just pick away at it one project at a time. It will sure be nice to have it completed. I am sure looking forward to the process!
We were in Edson for a couple nights last week - Ade had a drilling job he was doing there. Everything imaginable went wrong with the trip - but everyone is safe and at home now. Abby came back with us and I got to take her to her first ever movie in the theatre. I thought we should do it up right - so we went to the Cinaplex Odeon and watched Curious George. It was great. The best part was seeing how big her eyes got when she saw the huge movie screen. She talked about it hours after. What a treat to be able to take her!
