Little cradles - big Angels

Well I've been blogging for a year already. Hard to believe. Lots has happened in the last year boy oh boy. We've been home for a week now. Jesse is doing well, getting used to being home. Both boys have a runny nose again, and Jesse is somewhat congested... Yesterday we saw the pediatrician again, she said that Jesse is going to be more prone to respiratory infections over the next couple of years so it is likely the tail end of the RSV, or a new flu or cold. I am praying for complete healing of his little lungs, that he wouldn't be more susceptible to infection because of the RSV and whooping cough, and that he would be fully healthy and restored to the way God intended him to be. I am trying to be mindful of what God wants me to learn with this trial - I am so grateful that God is in my life. Gives some clarity to all of this. Psalm 16 has always been my favorite - and this morning it was in my readings. What an encouragement. God promises to be our safe house, and has set our boundary lines for our lives. And it is good....

Jesse's room has scripture stenciling around the top of it - it goes something like this:

Psalm 139
Oh Lord - you created and planned me
I am fearfully and wonderfully made
You number my days
Behind and Before you encircle me
My travels and rest you mark
Lead me in ancient paths...

With those promises, and the guardian angel that God has given to look over Jesse sleeping in his little wooden cradle, I rest and find peace knowing that he is in God's care.
Its a good reminder for me as I sit and breast feed - that Jesse and I are both in God's hands and that we cant even begin to comprehend the love that he has for us. Today be encouraged that God loves you so much, take some time to fix your eyes on Him and rest in His wonderful promises for you and your loved ones. Thanks to each of you for your prayers to Jesus for our family. They are heard!
