A day at the Beach-

Lunch at Pete's at the Beach

Just hangin out on the shore...

We had a great weekend! My cousin got married in Reddeer, my parents stayed with us Friday night, and we had some steaks on the BBQ, and then Sat morning my Dad and I got up at 5 and went fly fishing at a little pond just south of here, and then my mom and I went and checked out the great garage sales while my Dad and Ade worked on mudding the basement. Then off to Reddeer for the wedding. Sunday morning we headed over to Pigeon lake for the day and had so much fun. Of course we hadn't planned on going, it just worked out that way but thank goodness we had Sams speedos so he could have some splashing water fun! He absolutely loves the water. He just discovered splashing and now he just can't stop! We walked up and down the shore line and wandered in and out of stores - Ade and I bought a new picture for our house, one that reminded us both of a lake we visited in Switzerland last year. Its gorgeous. Then we spent about an hour under some trees right in front of the lake, me finishing my book and eating icecream - and Ade and Sam sleeping and splashing. The day made Ade and I want to go to the beach every weekend. It felt so good! So all you people - get out there and get to the beach already......

Well here are some long awaited pics of our little Sam Pea. HE is growing so big and learning so much. He is so busy, but still really likes his sleeps which works out really well for me. He sleeps 13 hrs at night, and is so pleasant in the morning its so fun. We have been batchin' it, as Ade took a short term feild job up in FOrt Mac. He came back last night thank goodness, our hearts were starting to hurt a little. I kept myself quite busy, doing needed things around the house and visiting family and friends. Everyone in our community is so caring and supportive. Sam and I were invited out for many suppers, and I had a good chance to catch up with some dear friends of mine. Its always so encouraging when I get together with friends and you can just catch up where you left off no matter how long ago. GOd has truely blessed me with some great girlfriends. Sams two little top teeth just poked through yesterday, so he has been a little grumpy over the last week. Even his grumpy is bearable though- so I am not going to complain. My nausea has not seemed as bad with this pregnanacy, I am so grateful to not be working, I couldn't imagine getting up at 4:45 and not getting home until 8 at night. I think that is proably why I was so sick with little Sam. My medicine makes me more tired thorughout the day, so when the afternoons come I try to get in a nap or just put my feet up with a cup of tea and one of my many ongoing books. Its so nice to have the support of Ade too. I had a little taste of what it would be like to be a single mom for a week and a half, and boy - I don't know how they do it.

THis morning we found a dead decapitated rabbit in our back yard. I couldn't stomach going out to pick it up, so I asked my neighbour Martin to do it. He thinks that the coyotes came and ate part of it right in our back yard, and then got scared off mid meal. Gross. I could have just left it for when Ade got home, but there was a raven hanging around. Anyways, glad we have a good fence, and good neighbours!

Absence does make the heart grow fonder, I've realized that about old friends and my dear husband. I am so blessed. I think too I am learning about how most of the spiritual growing happens in the deserts, and most of the time we can't see it happening. GOd is so good and faithful. I am glad his consistancy is not based on feelings or emotion. His promises remain regardless of our emotions. Today I am grateful for the buckets of rain, my sons two front teeth, the smell of banana bread, special reunions of dear loved ones and of course - God's consistancy regardless of the inconsistancy in the world.

My cup is truely running over....
