Our Anniversary

Sunday morning on our little hike!

Saturday night supper at swanky Jasper Park Lodge!

Well - Sam and mom both survived their first night apart at 7 months old! I actually suprised myself with how well I did leaving him over night. He is weaned now, and takes his bottle like a dream so that makes it easier. Ade and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary in the last weekend of April by going back to Jasper for the night. Sam got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa in Edson. We had such a good relaxing time there! We had a long nap (2hrs) it was so nice not to have to worry about Sam and just sleep! Then we walked along Jasper main street strolling in and out of shops, getting candies from Nutters and people watched. So much fun. For supper Ade took me out to Jasper Park lodge, where I had a great wildmushroom soup and great big blue cheese salad, and Ade had his cheeseburger of course! The piano man was there and taking requests. Then we went back and rented Sariana - with George Clooney. The next morning we slept in, drank coffee and relaxed. Ade took me on a little hike up a mountain, we sat amist the elk droppings and enjoyed God's amazing creation. Back to JPL for more mushroom soup, to read the paper on the patio in the warm warm sun, and just be still. It was such a restful weekend! Lots of driving though. It's so amazing to me how he could have made this world like a cardboard box, but instead he gave us color, mountains, streams, trees, sky and animals. I cant imagine what heaven will be like! My morning sickness is actually subsiding somewhat - I think its wierd but am glad. Maybe this will be all the nausea experienced with this little one - I wouldn't mind that too much...
